Lubricants & Additives

The smallest of our four lines but the most application-specific: base fluids (industrial white oil in fourteen grades, hydraulic oils) plus the components that go into them — polyol cores for ester base stocks, amides for slip, and preservative systems for water-based metalworking fluids.

What this line covers

Lubricant buyers generally fall into two groups, and they need different things. Formulators buy components — a polyol core, an amide slip agent, a preservative for the water-based fluid — and care about assay and compatibility. Blenders and end users buy finished base fluid and care about viscosity grade, colour and oxidation stability.

The fourteen industrial white oil grades let you pick the viscosity without reformulating: 5# and 7# for low-temperature and low-viscosity work, 22# to 46# for general metalworking and process oil, 70# and 100# where a heavier carrier is needed. All are the same chemistry at different cuts, so switching grade does not change the rest of the formulation logic.

Water-based metalworking fluids are where most field failures start. Bacteria and fungi adapt to a sump within weeks; YS-MK and YS-HEY are formulated for that environment rather than borrowed from a cosmetic or coating system. If you are seeing emulsion splitting, pH drift or odour, the preservative is usually the first thing to check.

Buying questions

Can I get a specific viscosity outside the fourteen listed grades?

The listed grades cover the common cuts. Blends outside them are possible against order — state the target viscosity at 40 °C and we will confirm feasibility.

Are the hydraulic oils suitable for high-pressure systems?

The HD HM T series is a long-life clean hydraulic oil range covering ISO VG 10 to 100. Confirm your pump manufacturer's requirement and we will advise which grade fits.

Which preservative suits a semi-synthetic metalworking fluid?

YS-HEY is the usual choice for semi-synthetic and synthetic systems; YS-MK suits soluble oil emulsions. Send your formulation pH and the organisms you are seeing for a specific recommendation.
